The ground-breaking ceremony of major projects in the fourth quarters of Jingzhou Economic & Technological Development Zone (JETDZ) and Midea Washing Machine Supporting Industrial Park was held on November 5. The 11 commencement projects of JETDZ totaled investment of 3.573 billion yuan, including 8 advanced manufacturing projects with total investment of 2.623 billion yuan and 3 livelihood projects with total investment of 950 million yuan.

The total investment of Midea Washing Machine Supporting Industrial Park is 1 billion yuan and will built by 2 phases, including 400 million yuan investment of Phase I. Located to the west of Midea Washing Machine Plant in JETDZ, to the south of Henan Road in Shajiao, and north of Shacen Road, the construction area of project is 340 mu (22.7 heactres).

Midea Washing Machine Supporting Industrial Park is mainly engaged in R&D, production and sales of metal parts, electronic parts, plastic parts and other home appliances supporting products. At present, 7 enterprises have been confirmed to settle in, and 15 companies are in the docking process. The construction of the Midea Washing Machine Supporting Industrial Park will strongly facilitate the development of Jingzhou's white goods industry.
